How I came to Reiki
 As I have a background in therapies I had heard of Reiki and understood it to work like 'magic' as you didn't touch the person. All very odd I thought and decided it wasn't anything that interested me. However, through my work as a sports therapist and dealing with people in pain and with chronic conditions I became aware of the mind body connection and found myself wanting to know more about this.
I became intrigued with chakras and our personal energy that we have around us individually. As a result I have become a more spiritual person, I'm not entirely certain I understand what that means but feel it anyway.
I met first met Sally 12 months ago and then again earlier this year on training and I felt a connection. Sally mentioned spirituality at which I immediately jumped up and asked for a chat with her later, she told me about her work with Reiki, how it had helped her and those she works with. I decided there and then that I had to do Reiki - quite remarkable as I had never had an inkling to do it before. I attended Sally's next Reiki Training and its been great!
The workshop was at Sally's warm and welcoming home with a lovely group of ladies. Sally is a great tutor with a wealth of knowledge and expertise and her calm energy is infectious. I soaked it all up and for the following 21 days practised Reiki on myself for my own health and well being as well as doing some on friends and family. One of my reasons for doing Reiki was to see if I could improve the female problems I have been experiencing, and I'm please to report things have changed for the better.
During the 21 days after being attuned I had a most profound experience with Reiki. I was focused on my sacral chakra when I had like a bolt of lightening run through my body through my arms and through the palms of my hands where it was like electric buzzing through my abdomen almost as if hands were shuffling about in there! After a few moments this subsided. I shared my experience with Sally over the phone and I could feel her warm smile as she just said 'that's Reiki'
I am convinced totally by Reiki and I'm so pleased it is now part of me, it is such a gentle yet profound treatment. My Reiki experience will not stop there I am ready now for Reiki II and see what that brings, I can't wait. Thank you so much Sally and a thank you to Reiki.
